Chinese Goddess Bamboo   
Bambusa Riviorum

A large variety with soft green feathered leaves on long, thick straight canes are an easy, fast growing, low maintenance choice for homeowners. Ideal for screens or privacy fencing. The young canes are initially lime green, and turn a rich golden color as they mature. These are clumping bamboos, which can be used in any landscape without the need for being curbed or restrained. A signature plant in Asian inspired gardens.

This bamboo grows to 6 - 10' tall and wide with .5" canes. Hardy to

Golden Hawaiian Bamboo  
Bambusa Vulgaris Vittata

This clumping bamboo produces beautiful golden canes with green stripes that  appear to have been painted on the canes. The Hawaiian Striped Bamboo prefers full sun to partial shade. 

This bamboo can grow 50' tall although 30-40' is more common in the landscape. 2-4" canes.

Giant Timber Bamboo    
Bambusa Oldhamii

This clumping bamboo is one of the most widely grown bamboos in the United States. Its tall, upright habit and remarkable cold hardiness makes for an excellent screen or wind break. The deep green canes and leaves also provide a superb backdrop for the landscape and it makes an excellent screen or wind break. As Giant Timber Bamboo matures and the canes emerge larger, a gentle clacking sound can be heard as the wind blows through the canes.

This bamboo can grow up to 55' with 5" diameter canes. Hardy to 20º

Lako Timor Black Bamboo   
Bambusa Lako

A wonderful, stunning focal plant with new shoots that are green in colour and turn chocolatey-black. Also forms an impressive privacy screen or hedge. Grows erect and arches at the top. A slow grower so starting with a larger plant will get quicker results in the landscape. Slightly open clumper. 

Grows 45' tall with 3" diameter canes. Hardy to 25º

Weaver’s Bamboo   
Bambusa Multiplex Alphonse Karr
One of the hardiest bamboos and is great for hedges. New culms will have a pink cast that change to variegated green stripes on yellow. Can be used in any landscape without the need for being curbed or restrained. Deer resistant; tolerates wind and coastal conditions; can grow in containers.

Grows 15-35' tall with 3" diameter canes.

Graceful Bamboo   
Bambusa textilis gracilis

An all dark green bamboo that is ideal for residential landscapes. Beautiful enough to stand as a specimen plant with graceful, cascading foliage. Can be used in any landscape without the need for being curbed or restrained. Tight clumping nature and upright growing habit.

Grows to an average of 25-30' with about 1' diameter canes. 
Hardy to 15º

Angel Mist Bamboo   
Dendrocalamus minor amoenus

Angel Mist stands out with a powdery bloom giving it a bluish apprearance. As the powder wears off it reveals lime and dark green stripes. Mature canes arch out gracefully and sway with the wind.

Grows to 35' with 3" diameter canes. Hardy to 24º

Asian Lemon Lime Bamboo 
Bambusa Eutuldiodes Viridi Vittata

Asian Lemon Bamboo canes are lemon yellow with dark green stripes. New canes are peach and pink toned with green stripes, and very striking. Provide several hours per day of full sunlight and plenty of mulch and moisture for best growth. Clumping, non-invasive and excellent for hedges or screening or as a stunning focal point planting.

Grows to 25' with 1-1.5" diameter canes.

Fernleaf Bamboo   
Bambusa Multiplex 'Fernleaf'

This clumping species is an excellent screening or focal plant. Fernleaf is noted for its dwarf size and fern-like foliage. Produces many small canes that gently arch out and develop a dense canopy. One of the few species of bamboo that can be sheared into a very tight hedge.

Grows 20' tall with 1" canes. Hardy to 12º

Golden Goddess Bamboo 
Bambusa Multiplex 'Golden Goddess'

Golden Goddess is a popular ornamental and great for a shorter hedge or container plant. Similar to 'Fernleaf', but with slightly larger leaves. Canes become golden with age and sun exposure. Has a dense growing habit.

Grows 10' tall with .5" canes.

Buddha's Belly Bamboo    
Bambusa tuldoides 'ventricosa'

For it to form the bulges that reflects its name, the plant has to be pot bound. The canes will bulge and swell, giving it the name “Buddha’s Belly”. Can be grown as a grove or as an accent plant. It could also be grown to form a screen.

Grows to average height of 7-12' with canes 2" in diameter.

Dwarf Buddha's Belly Bamboo   
Bambusa Vulgaris Wamin

A dwarf variety of the larger Buddha Belly bamboo, with fine elongated green leaves and beautiful thick green canes. The canes have swollen nodes, which resemble Buddha's belly. These are beautiful medium sized clumping bamboos, which can be used in any landscape without the need for being curbed or restrained. Also makes a great potted feature for indoors or patios. Ideal for smaller gardens, green screens around pool pumps and as a hedge, along water features etc.

Grows to average height of 6-15' with canes 2-4" in diameter.

Painted Buddha's Belly Bamboo   
Bambusa Tuldoides Ventricosa Kimmei

Has yellow canes with green vertical stripes and is more or less the same as the green form of this material (Buddha's Belly Bamboo). In both varieties it is commonly held that if the specimen is kept in a pot and underwatered then it is more likely to produce new canes that will exhibit the Buddha effect. When it exhibits the Buddha effect it does not grow very fast or very tall.

Grows to average height of 30' with canes 2" in diameter.

Bambusa Odashimae

Widely known by the name Bambusa edulis. It is either native in the northern part of Taiwan or has been introduced and was naturalized long ago. The canes can be used for construction and paper production. It is primarily grown for its edible shoots.

Grows to 65' with 3' diameter canes.
